Taxovate and its blog are published by BOOST2FUTURE UNIPESSOAL LDA (“Taxovate”), a single-member private limited company incorporated in Portugal, taxpayer number (NIPC) PT518461467, with registered office at Rua do Vale Cardal n.º 142, 6120-021 Envendos, Mação, Santarém, Portugal.
Our editor is Gonçalo Lobato, certified accountant.
2. Where our information comes from
Articles are based on official publications, mainly the Diário da República and the tax codes and guidance the Autoridade Tributária publishes on the Portal das Finanças. Where an article covers another country's rules, it cites that country's official sources.
Every article lists its sources at the end, each with the date it was last checked against the official text.
3. How articles are prepared and reviewed
Drafts are prepared with software, including AI writing tools, from the sources the article cites.
Before publication, each article is reviewed by our editorial team.
Official publication bulletins are the exception: they are generated automatically from the Diário da República's own record, report only that an act was published and when, and are not reviewed before publication.
Articles are general information, not personal tax advice.
4. Corrections
If you find an error, email clientes@taxovate.pt with the article's address and what you believe is wrong. A link to the official source helps.
5. Independence
Taxovate provides tax and accounting services, and articles may link to those services and to our free calculators. The blog carries no advertising and no sponsored content.
